What’s different about my course?

Well… me! Whoever you book your birth prep with, I would strongly recommend that you select the course based on your feeling that they will be someone who you could get on with, after all you’ll be spending quite a lot of time with them! If you’d like to book a call with me so we can discuss the course in more detail, and get to know one another a little better, send an e-mail to – my private course is totally unique to every couple I work with, you will have my unlimited support throughout your pregnancy.

I help pregnant people and their birth partners prepare for the birth of their baby, to move your thinking that birth is a ‘means to an end’ task, to actively co-creating a birth experience that is entirely bespoke to you and your growing family.

Hypnobirthing is not meditating your way through birth, it is so much more than relaxation techniques. If you are the kind of person who likes to weigh up the pros and cons of all your decisions, or the kind of person who puts something you want to buy in an online basket and ruminates over whether it’s the right choice before buying it, you are likely to approach having a baby in the same way. If this is you, then you have come to the right place to prepare for your baby’s birth. I leave no stone unturned when it comes to comprehensively preparing for your baby’s arrival. By the time your baby’s birth date comes around, you will be feeling knowledgeable, calm and confident that you know what to expect, what techniques to use and how to navigate any decision-making in the lead-up and on the day your baby is born.

Hypnobirthing isn’t just a ‘nice to have’, certainly, I will teach you relaxation tools and techniques to support you in your birth, and importantly, support your birth partner, after all, you are going to be focussing on giving birth, it’s important that your partner knows there is a lot more to being a birth partner than carrying the bags to the car! These tools are invaluable, and the hypnosis you learn is so powerful that you won’t be fearing birth, you might even actually look forward to it.

But, the lesser-known part of hypnobirthing, and arguably the most important part, is learning how to navigate choices around your birth. There will be some known choices you definitely have to make (where you plan to birth your baby for example), and some unknowns that you might have to make a decision on (the ‘what ifs’) unless you know what your options are, you aren’t making an informed choice. Research tells us that people who felt they made the choices during their birth rather than having the choices made for them is one of the main contributors to whether they felt their birth experience was positive or negative. You might think, we’ll go with the flow when it comes to making decisions, which is easy to say in your second trimester, but by the time you are approaching, or even past your due date, this will add a layer of pressure that nine-month pregnant you does not need. You need to have all the necessary information to make the right choice for you and this course will, go through all possible birth scenarios and give you the information you need. Do your future self the biggest favour, and prepare fully, it’s not a ‘nice to have’, it’s a must-have and it’s what you deserve, book now to select times and dates that work for you.
